Judy Stinson designed a community-engaged learning experience for her students after volunteering at the Hampshire County Jail and House of Corrections. The students were assigned readings about OT in the criminal justice system before attending the field trip to the county jail. After a tour of the facility and a panel discussion with the inmates , a reflective paper was assigned to help students apply the concepts of occupational justice and the perceived potential role of an OT in the system. |
